"Healthy Food Game"

For mutual I was in charge of this lesson about being healthy. I thought that I could make up a little game about it. I don't know how well I did but, it's a game and it works for mutual. It is not that creative either in my opinion but like I said, I don't want to spend a lifetime on it:). So here it goes. Hopefully you find it useful. Maybe you will use it, who knows?

"Healthy Food Game"

Before you play talk with the people you are teaching about being healthy and how important it is to be healthy. Especially talk about how just about every food you buy from the store has something artificial in it, and to buy organic when posible. Blah Blah Blah, now let's do the game:).

Players will each start with 50 "health points".What you do with the "health points" (on the right of each meal) is you read the meal options and the players decide which one they want to eat. Then you tell them how many "health points" they get for each meal they chose.  If they have 0 health points they lose or die of a heart attack.
*Advise to players – think variety and colorful (rainbow colors).

Framed Flower Holder

Hair Flowers can get in the way! I am a witness. You don't have to deal with that anymore! All you need is an old frame and some ribbon. Hint: get the frame from a yard sale or something, then repaint it if you need to.
Materials
*An old frame (whatever size)
*Ribbon to put on it
*Glue/Stapler/Whatever you want (to attach your ribbon to your frame)
*Some hair clips to put on it:)

1. Cut your ribbon to the right size.
2. Glue/Staple/Whatever you want, the ribbon to the frame.
(I used hot glue)
Ta-Da
Amazing:). Reduce! Reuse! Recycle! And there you go a Framed Hair Holder . . . thing:)

Coconut Chocolate Cookies

So originally these cookies were called Kickin' Craisin cookies. But I adapted it so that it did not have craisins in it because I do not like craisins that much. So it still has the cinnamon in it and all that stuff. However, I made it so that it had coconut and chocolate, so it's all good. Anyway, I hope that you like it.
Coconut Chocolate Cookies
Cream:
1 cup of butter
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of brown sugar
Add:
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix well.
Add:
2 cups of flour
2 1/2 cups of quick outs
1 teaspoon baking power
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
a dash of cayenne pepper (Which adds the kick to it. Don't worry, it will still taste good!)
Mix well.
Add:
1 cup of chocolate chips
1 cup of coconut
Make one inch balls and place on a cooking sheet. Cook at 400 degrees for 6-9 minutes. Allow cookies to cool for 2 minutes on baking sheet before transferring to cooling rack.

*If you want to make Kickin' Craisin Cookies than you add 1 1/2 cup craisins instead of 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup of coconut.

And there you go, now you got really good cookies:)

Soda Cap Bracelets

I love to recycle!!! And this project is cute and good for the earth (not really, but it is still cheep to make). A.K.A. perfect for me to make! WARNING: the pictures are kind of blurry (sorry). Anyway I hope you like it:)!!
So you start out by getting your materials.

*Two Pieces of ribbon or some sort of thing to thread the soda caps into (I used ribbon and a strip of tulle)about 15-20 inches long for a child's/small adult wrist(6-7 inch wrist)
*About 21 soda caps (you will want to bent the back of them so they do not scratch your wrist)

All you do is you thread the ribbon (or whatever you chose to use) into your soda caps and leave about 5-6 inches of room to tie it on to your wrist (remember this is child size). You can also tape the first soda cap to the ribbon to help it stay in place.

And there you go another piece of jewelery to show off:)

How To Make A Thing 1 Costume

I love Dr. Seuss! Anyone who loves Dr. Seuss should DEFINITELY be Thing 1. Here it goes, my "crafty" version of Thing 1(I tried to make it quick and easy).
So from top to bottom
*the "wig" - it is blue curling ribbon (8 or 9 strips about a foot or two long) stapled first then curled and clipped into the persons hair with a clip or you could just go and get a real wig

*the sweat shirt - an ordinary jacket, sweat shirt, or shirt with a piece of white material that says Thing 1

*the gloves - I had old white gloves I could use that were store bought
*the tutu - my very favorite go to http://www.momdot.com/howtomakeatutu then just wear leggings under the tutu and wear matching boots or shoes

and there you go a cute costume:)

Why I chose to make a blog

I love to create stuff. I like almost every craft I make and I make every craft I like again (unless I forget how to make it:(). I always forget about a lot of my creations that I am in the middle of (giggle giggle). But I still remember some and those are the most interesting and short ones. I am not really a sewer so don't expect many sewing projects(maybe maybe 1). I have a ton of yarn though so mostly yarn projects! And that is why I have a blog:)

how to make a tassel

Here is a picture of a tassel

first you cut 1 piece of cardboard
(depending on how big you want the tassel)

Then you wrap the yarn around the cardboard
(depending on how thick you want it)
Then you take the yarn of the cardbourd
and you tie yarn about centimeter or so from the top of the yarn
and tie a loop at the top
and you cut the bottom of the yarn
and there you go a tassel!:)
